DR. SATHY V. BALU-IYER (SATHYAMANGALAM. V. BALASUBRAMANIAN)

Dr. Sathy V. Balu-Iyer (Sathyamangalam V. Balasubramanian) is an Assistant Professor of Pharmaceutical Sciences. He was a post doctoral fellow
in the Department of Pharmaceutical Sciences, State University of New York at Buffalo. He received his Ph.D. in
Molecular Biophysics from the Indian Institute of Science in Bangalore, India. His PK/PD modeling interests and
capabilities include the PK/PD modeling of protein therapeutics, the role of macromolecular interaction
(protein-protein interaction) in PK/PD, the role of drug delivery nanoparticulate vehicles on the PK/PD of
proteins, and the effect of antibody-based immune response on the PK/PD and efficacy of protein therapeutics.
Dr. Balu-Iyer is the Associate Director of the Pharmaceutical Sciences Instrumentation Facility.
